Congratulations to Jena Edwards on a 2nd place finish at the state individual bowling tournament! Mairead Willimack placed 30th and Kaylie Cargill placed 14th. On the boys side, Rylan Edwards placed 11th. Our individual speech performers did very well this past weekend moving 17 of their 19 events on to the state contest. Earlier this week, Mrs. Richmann’s extension group had the opportunity to show off the “kindness machines” they built. This project was a hands-on building opportunity that not only taught students electronics and coding, but also about the importance of showing kindness to others. The project was inspired by the book, “The Kindness Machine” by Christina Dankert. Students said they enjoyed this project because they got to use their imaginations, learned not to give up and stay positive, and promote kindness. What a fun way to learn these important lessons!

On Tuesday, 45 local employers shared career opportunities with our juniors and seniors at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. This was a great way for students to learn about careers and network with potential future employers. Thanks to all the businesses who participated!
UPDATE: We will not be rescheduling parent-teacher conferences. Instead, parents will have an opportunity to schedule a time to meet with their child’s teachers in-person or virtually when it works best for them. Parents should hear from teachers by tomorrow afternoon.

CDMS jazz band traveled to Liberty High School last Friday to participate in the Liberty Jazz Festival. Students performed and then received a clinic with two guest clinicians. They did a great job representing Central DeWitt and had a great day of learning! Way to go, Sabers!
