The Iowa High School Sports Network will broadcast the IHSAA Boys’ State Wrestling Tournament semifinals and finals from Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
The semifinals will air on the IHSSN Cable Network Friday, February 16 with Class 2A at 9 a.m., 3A at 1:30 p.m. and 1A at 6 p.m. The finals will air Saturday, February 17 on the IHSSN Broadcast Network beginning at 5:30 p.m. Check local cable and TV listings for details.

Our incredible FCS teachers Rebecca Barnes, Alisa Sage and Ceandra Staub are empowering our students to become positive, productive members of families, workplaces and our community by teaching them important life skills for today’s world. This week, in honor of Valentine’s Day and FCCLA Week, Central DeWitt FCCLA members sold valentine cookie decorating kits. Students made the heart-shaped cookies and colorful frosting before packaging it together with a variety of sprinkles. Funds raised from the sale will go toward a community service project to benefit foster children in our area. Way to go, Sabers!

It’s that time again! The Central DeWitt Early Childhood students are thrilled to be preparing to welcome preschool age children to participate in our annual “Little Sabers Preschool Lab.” We are looking for children, ages 3-4 to come to the DeWitt Community Library to play and learn with high school students during our classroom time.
The program will begin the week of April 17th and continue two days a week until the week of May 12th. There will be one session every other day from 8:15-9:15 and no Lab on Wednesdays.

On February 21, ICAN will be hosting a FAFSA Completion Event at Central DeWitt High School in the high school conference room. Families can sign up for a 1-hour appointments between 3-7 p.m. here: https://www.schedulicity.com/scheduling/ICARUB/workshops Space is limited, so you are encouraged to sign up soon! This is a great opportunity to get help from FAFSA experts.
The FAFSA is an important step in the college going process. It can help students gain access to grants and loans to assist in paying for college. In addition, it is required by some institutions for scholarship opportunities. Both students and parents must have their FSA ID created a week prior to the event. If you have not created an FSA ID, please meet with Holly Hansen if you need help with this step. You can reach her at holly.hansen@cd-csd.org.

TICKETS ON SALE NOW! Cheer on our Saber baseball team as they take on Fairfield High School at Busch Stadium in St. Louis on June 9th! The St. Louis Cardinals play the Colorado Rockies at 1:15 p.m. followed by the CDHS vs. Fairfield High School game.
