⚙️ Yesterday, CDHS proudly hosted the Clinton County STEM Festival & Manufacturing Day! Students from 8th–12th grade at Central DeWitt, along with peers from Northeast, Calamus-Wheatland, and Clinton, explored STEM and manufacturing careers through hands-on activities. Over 20 area businesses, unions, and organizations participated, sharing their expertise and inspiring our students!
Students had the chance to ask questions about careers, learn what employers are looking for, and gain valuable insights into the skills that matter most in these fields. A panel discussion also offered tips on career paths, workplace expectations, and how to stand out as future employees.

Throughout the morning, students were assisted in applying to colleges, exploring scholarship and financial aid opportunities, and had the chance to meet with military representatives, and connected with local employers to discover job and career options right here in our community.
This event is such an important milestone for our seniors — it’s a day to dream big, plan ahead, and set those goals in motion! Whether they’re heading to college, pursuing a trade, serving in the military, or joining the workforce, today was all about taking those first confident steps into the future. 🌟

On Thursday, October 23rd at 5 p.m., The Observer will be hosting a School Board Candidate Forum at the Central DeWitt Performing Arts Center. Candidates Jed Ganzer, Michelle Martens and Nicholas Strohman will have the opportunity to share their views through a prepared statement followed by a moderated Q&A session. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the candidates running for Central DeWitt School Board!
