As we begin a new year, we’re already looking ahead with excitement and planning for the 2026–2027 school year. To support this early planning, there are a few important changes to our registration timeline this year.
Registering students earlier allows us to thoughtfully plan programs, staffing, and learning experiences that best support our students and families. Below you’ll find key dates and details to help you stay informed and ready for the year ahead.
Preschool Registration
Preschool registration for the 2026–2027 school year will open on February 2 at 8 a.m. The registration link will be shared on our website and social media that morning.
Our preschool program will offer both full-day and half-day options. Children must be 4 years old by September 15, 2026, to be eligible.

Saber Cubs Care Registration
Registration for Saber Cubs Care will also open on February 2 and will include:
Summer 2026 Saber Cubs Care
School-year Saber Cubs Care (2026–2027)
Children must be 4 years old by January 1, 2026 to register for the summer program and 4 years old by September 15, 2026, for the regular school-year program.

Kindergarten Registration
Families can easily pre-register by visiting our website and clicking the pre-registration link found here: https://www.cd-csd.org/page/registration. Once the pre-registration form is submitted, you will receive a mailed packet with next steps, including Kindergarten Roundup details and information about an important parent meeting.
Completing the pre-registration form helps us prepare to welcome your child to Ekstrand Elementary next year. Please note that you will still need to officially register your kindergartener through Infinite Campus when regular registration opens in April.
K–12 Registration
K–12 registration will open in April, which is earlier than in past years. Additional details will be shared as we get closer to that date. Please note that fees for the 2026–2027 school year will not be applied until August 2026.
We strongly encourage families to register as early as possible. Early registration gives us adequate time to hire staff, plan class sections, and prepare for a successful school year—helping us better support your child and our school community.
