CDHS named Special Olympics Unified Champion School

Congratulations to Central DeWitt Special Olympics whose hard work promoting inclusion earned Central DeWitt High School the honor of becoming a Special Olympics Unified Champion School! To be recognized, the school must have an “inclusive school climate and exude a sense of collaboration, engagement and respect for all members of the student body and staff.” The team also had to demonstrate a commitment to inclusion by meeting 10 national standards of excellence. This is a huge accomplishment as Central DeWitt is one of only four high schools in Iowa to currently have national accreditation. We are so proud of Mrs. Jackson, Lexi Vetter, and Dane Egesdal who completed the application as well as all of our Special Olympic team members who work hard to make our school environment inclusive!
