Jen Vance Named CDCSD Assistant Superintendent

Heading into the second half of the 2017-2018 school year, former CDCSD Director of Innovation and Instruction, Jen Vance, will have a new title: Assistant Superintendent. The new title comes with CDCSD Superintendent, Dr. Dan Peterson’s desire to better recognize Vance’s work, “She’s done a lot of incredible work for our school district, and has expanded the role she was given, whether for students, teachers, our administrative team, school board, and also with parents.  She has gone above and beyond in every area she has been asked to help out with.”

The title change is also timely as Vance recently completed the University of Northern Iowa’s Superintendent Preparation Program. Her title may be different, but Vance’s outlook for the future is unwavering, “I am excited to begin work under my new title. The best part for me is the continued work I will be to do with teachers on a daily basis while working on overall system issues as well. We are a district of high expectations and a strong vision. I look forward to providing the support for all to meet those expectations.”
